This week we’re talking to the cool girls behind the natural skincare and beauty movement. They’re giving us the dirty on the clean beauty and I LOVE their attitude. No scaremongering. No freaking out about weird chemicals. Just dropping knowledge bombs to help empower you to clean up your act. They’re making it easy, they’re making it accessible, and they’re making it transparent. And they’re doing it all with impeccable branding.
So occasionally, my buds at lifebox will include sneaky little natural beauty products in their magical white boxes, like cool natural deodorants, and recipes for turmeric face masks, even superfood blends that are designed to give your skin a little boost. Because we all know that when it comes to looking and feeling great, it’s as much about what goes inside your bod as what you put on it. So the guys at Lifebox are offering 15% off their June trial box, exclusively for listeners of this podcast. Just go to Lifeboxfood.com and type in ‘DONTSALTMYLB’ at the checkout. And if you’re signing up to one of their subscriptions this month, you’ll also get a little treat from me, so head over to the site to see what that is.

Hi! I’ve been an avid listener of your podcast for a few weeks now. After listening to your podcast I’ll certainly be visiting Clean Beauty’s website and looking at those recipes. I’m a dermatitis and eczema sufferer and I’ve been so all my life so my switch to clean beauty was a few years ago. I find that using a minimal amount of ingredients on my skin is best. Removing make up with Sweet almond oil using the oil cleansing method is very effective and I often moisturise with Rosehip oil which is amazing. I just wanted to point you out in the direction on Herbhedgerow website which is written by Lorraine Dallmeier who is the director of Formula Botanica http://www.herbhedgerow.co.uk
Also, in that website there’s s good article about the absorption of chemicals by our skin:

I hope this is of interest.
Thanks for this Noelia – this was a super popular episode so I’d love to have someone else come on and talk about natural skincare. I has eczema a lot when I was a kid and it can sometimes flare up in the winter too – totally sucks!
